Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS)

Celebrating 45 years of GTCYS’
Strong Musical Community
Come join us as we share information about our eight orchestras serving about 900 students from ages 8-18 throughout the Twin Cities.  Madeline Sheard, a GTCYS Symphony student, will perform a cello solo as a preview of a concert later in the month where she will perform a solo work with the Orchestra.  Mark Russell Smith, Artistic Director, will overview the value of classical music in the development of our youth and how GTCYS is a unique experience for each student.  

Megen Balda, Executive Director, will share the impact of GTCYS throughout the metro to include our new west side St. Paul Harmony program, serving 3rd graders at Riverview Elementary.  You won’t want to miss this entertaining program!
